About the Tech
Dave Eastwood is the mastermind behind Eastwood Repair, an independent guitar repair business located inside Paul's Guitar Hideout. Growing up in Lake George, NY, Dave has always had a connection to the outdoors. After attending UNLV in Las Vegas and graduating from Temple University in Philadelphia with a degree in English Literature, Dave missed the environment that upstate New York offers and moved home with little direction of what to do next.
Dave decided to try something new and obtained his Certificate of Lutherie from Vermont Instruments in 2008, excelling in building acoustic guitars by hand. He returned to Vermont Instruments in 2009 and became certified in guitar repair. After many years of working on instruments on the side while being employed in the hospitality industry, Dave finally took the plunge into guitar repair full time in 2018 and he hasn't looked back.
Away from the bench, Dave is family-oriented, enjoying camping, traveling and chasing live music with his wife and son. Eastwood Repair runs on the same spirit of being grounded, capable and built on trust. Let Dave work on your instrument and you will not be disappointed.
